During the UX/UI design process of the Guide of Dubai mobile application, user flows, wireframes, and interface designs were developed with a user-centered approach. Throughout the process, usability and visual consistency were prioritized to create a modern and effective user experience.
UX Research & Competitive Analysis
A comprehensive UX research and competitive analysis was conducted across leading travel and experience platforms, including Headout, Klook, GetYourGuide, and Guide of Dubai. User flows, information architecture, booking experiences, and interface patterns were evaluated to identify industry best practices and usability gaps. The findings were synthesized through benchmark analysis, netnography, and affinity mapping to uncover key user needs and pain points. These insights informed strategic design decisions and guided the redesign process.
Design System Foundation
Before starting the mobile app design process, a scalable and consistent Design System was established. Developed in Figma, the system was built on a foundation of Design Tokens, Light/Dark theme support, and reusable component structures.
The system was organized under a total of 21 categories, including Colors, Typography, Spacing & Radius, Iconography, Shadow, Images, Buttons, Inputs, Cards, Tabs, Chat, Calendar, Tooltips, Toast Messages, and Native Components. All assets were structured into two main sections—Pages and Base Components—to ensure maximum efficiency, consistency, and scalability throughout both the design and development processes.
Seamless Onboarding Experience
The onboarding, login, registration, and preference selection flows were designed to provide a simple and intuitive start to the application. By collecting user preferences during the initial setup process, the platform delivers more relevant content, personalized recommendations, and tailored travel experiences from the very beginning.
Go.Ai
Go.AI is an AI-powered travel assistant designed to personalize the Dubai experience for every user. Through a natural conversational interface, users can ask anything they want to know about Dubai, including attractions, restaurants, events, transportation options, and local recommendations.
In addition, Go.AI creates customized travel itineraries based on the user's trip duration, interests, and preferences. Whether planning a one-day visit or a multi-week journey, the system provides tailored routes and activity suggestions, making travel planning faster and more efficient.
By combining the convenience of artificial intelligence with the expertise of a travel guide, Go.AI delivers a more interactive, personalized, and seamless way to explore Dubai.

The hotel booking flow was designed to provide a seamless experience from search to reservation management. Advanced filtering, guest selection, date selection, hotel details, and booking tracking features help users find and manage accommodations quickly and efficiently.
Tour Discovery & Booking Experience
The tour booking experience was designed to guide users seamlessly from discovery to reservation. Detailed tour information, customizable options, transportation preferences, and a step-by-step booking flow help users plan and complete their experience with confidence and ease.
